Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is a national USTA program that aims to unite young players aged 5-18 to foster individual growth, social development, life skills, and teamwork. It offers increased opportunities for players to compete in level-based doubles, mixed doubles, and singles matches. This unique opportunity also provides young athletes the fun and excitement of team competition with a chance to compete at the USTA JTT Sectional Tournament at which will occur May 16th & 17th in Abilene.
During the months of February & March, players will receive guidance from tennis professionals as we form and develop teams. Teams are formed based on the players' age and ability, using a gender-neutral format. Each team MUST have a minimum of 4 players. 18U Intermediate teams MUST have one female player in their lineup.
After teams are formed, will begin match play towards the end of March. All matches are held on Sundays beginning at 1:30. A player MUST compete in at least two matches in order to qualify for the sectional tournament.

Registration is based on the player's age and ability. To determine the appropriate division,
1) Go to your USTA account and make sure your player has their own account. If they do not, it is free to set up!
2) When is their birthday? All players must remain eligible to play in their age bracket through December 9th, 2024.
3) Next, look at their WTN. That will determine which division. Beginner players cannot have a WTN higher than 29, intermediate players cannot have a WTN higher than 19, and advanced players have no limit. If you feel like your players' WTN is not correct, please contact Laura Nodolf for assistance.
4) Register! The good news is that Laura can always move players who register in the wrong division.
Total: $146.66 - these cover local and USTA fees for equipment, competition shirts for all players, sectional tournament fees, and coaching fees. Scholarships are limited. If you would like more information, please contact us!
I encourage you to register your player in our junior tennis program and help them develop their skills. Our program is designed for kids ages 5-18 and includes group lessons and match play. Our experienced coaches can help your child improve their game. I have enjoyed watching players grow by leaps and bounds during the program. Please let Laura know from the beginning if you want to use this as a growing opportunity and do not plan on attending sectionals.
That's OK! We understand things come up and there are other family obligations. However, each player must play at least two qualifying matches to attend the USTA JTT Texas Section Tournament.
Not on a one-on-one basis but I would encourage you to reach out to Bush Tennis Center to check their availability for individual lessons.
West Texas JTT is made possible due to the support of Bush Tennis Center! We are very lucky to utilize the courts and professionals at Bush to help our players grow and compete. We thank you for your continued support!
